Before mint

Stephen Chee’s business provides concrete cutting services – “I drill holes and cut concrete. Most of my customers are plumbers and electricians, and some domestic DIY customers”.

Stephen used to invoice a lot of his new customers or ask them to send cheques after the job was completed. Stephen complained “Sometime I had to send invoices 3 or more times before getting payment.” Obviously he wasted a lot of time chasing people for money.

After Mint

At first Stephan was worried saying “I am not very technical, so in the beginning I found mint took a bit of getting used to but now, I find mint really easy to use. I also use the Calendar function of the PDA to keep organised.”

“While I was setting up my mint, I used the mint Customer Service Centre a fair bit, and found them to be very helpful and very patient. But once I was up and running, I haven’t had to call customer service again.”

Typically Stephen processes a payment every few days. “I find there is a growing demand from my customers to use credit cards, and now I can offer them this facility. It puts money into my account much faster than when I have to chase payment”
